What is descriptive notation? What is algebraic? I just read what I see and play what it means.
Thanks! I will have a read through this work; this appears to be a safe page (nothing dodgy flagged).
I much prefer descriptive notation, because that was what was exclusively in use when I learned to play in 1957. Nowadays, though, you can't play a tournament without notating algebraically.
