Mouse pad?

Not sure...  This chess board was used at the the 3rd International Golden Apricot tournament taking place in Malatya, Turkey last month.

I like the colors.

Anyone know where these are sold on the Internet?

Are those 3 inch squares? The board looks promising in a 2 1/4 inch square board. It appears to be not a vinyl board maybe rubber mousepad ? Thanks for the picks Ken.!

I'm guessing 50-55mm squares.  All I have is the pics... no more info, was hoping someone might know more about these.  First time I have seen these.  It does look like some kind of rubber mat.  Can't read what is printed in the corner.

I thought to myself - Man,go in this, Lettuce play, but with a first prize of 5 Golden Apricots, it wasn't worth the pearing, there's noone I'd beet or to-mate-o, so I oranged something else.

This is killing me.  I like the looks of this board.  I decided I want to buy one.  But where are they to be found?

First I magnified the image trying to decipher the logo or name near the corner.  Well the pixels of the picture are too big so it cannot be made out.

Then I got out my handy Google weapon.  I searched for about 1/2 hour in total, between patients, to no avail.  Maybe using the word, "Turkish" along with roll up chess board might do it.

I like how they have the white inner border around the playing part of the board.  It makes a nice contrast.

So far all I'm finding is purtures.... all with comments saying the picture was taken in Turkey.

Modified the post title a little, maybe that will help.

Why don't you send the organiser of the event en email and ask where they got the board. I agree it looks good.

Getting back on topic, I just spoke with the fellow that owns and runs The Chess House, Raphael.

I told him about this board and he looked at the pictures.  He also thinks the board is made of rubber.  And he does not know where it comes from.  Raphael knows a lot of places to get chess equipment as this is what he does for a living.  He told me he will keep an eye out and let me know if he can find the source.

I also took the advice from above and emailed the TD of that tournaments asking him about the board and where we might be able to buy them.

So, we'll see if either of these two give me any information.

That is excellent!  I sent an email to the author of the article.

That would be great if Chess House was able to get a few to sell.

Well, I just received an email from the TD.

All that was in the message was this link:

http://www.satrancas.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=1

And:

ASUS'umdan gönderildi.

I believe this roughly translates as sent from my Asus.

The link leads to this Turkish company's page selling their Olympiad set.

I just tried to order one and it looks as if it is out of stock.

After looking further I see that the board is from the:

2012 Chess Olympiad Professional Set.

Now we need to find a seller that is not out of stock.
