It seems that Palm + Hiarcs is the recommended handheld chess setup here in the forums. Unfortunately, I find the battery life on my Palm to be abysmal. Does anyone know what the battery life of the NY22 is?

I don't know the answer to your question. I couldn't find any estimates when I searched for battery life. As far as the Palm/HIARCS combination being recommended, I can say that I like the combo myslf but it depends on what you're looking for. A major factor is cost... the Palm /HIARCS will cost you aorund $150 even if you buy the cheapect Palm. At 1/3 that cost the device you are inquiring about may be the way to go. Many factors are involved in making the right decision for yourself

I have a NY22. I love it. I get about a week on the batteries using it 1-3 hours per day. The NY22 is currently available on Amazon for about $30.
