What's your favorite book about chess that isn't an instruction guide? Something about the history or a certain player etc.

My favorite is "Secrets of Grandmaster Play" by Nunn & Griffiths. Maybe the best annotated game collection for the average player.

I have uninstructional books about chess. Come and take the damn things. (actually one is good, "The Complete Book of Chess," although like the others it has a completely misleading title to stimulate sales to saps like me)
