Hey, i am looking for some advice about books on the Ruy Lopez. I want to play the White side of this opening and want a book (or two) that will explain the opening well. I want to be able to add this opening to my repitoire using the book(s). Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? I am also willing to purchase dvd/cd-roms from chessbase etc
Yeah, I would inform about that all that highclass GMs that are taking the black side of Ruy to abandon it and start to play Petroff instead
Indeed, but at the cost of the pair of bishops... and alltough it gives white a strategicaly winning position, you must be very skilled in order to use this small advantage and to win the game ( when playing against good opponents)
i recently purchased this
its pretty good with 3.5 hours of recomendations for all of blacks common replies...however it does not cover marshall attack and a few others but i found it very useful , and good instruction....good luck
