I know my dad bought in on a buying trip to France. It looks to be very old.
Thanks,
Interesting, because I have been told by a reputable dealer that this is bone and from Ecuador with a value of 300- 400? Its not made in china. It is handmade.
After further inspection, the black squares represents several Ecuadorian monuments. It actually gives the name of each monument. I dont think its from China or Mexico. I am still trying to find out more about this set if anybody see's this. I also think that it is possible that it is made from vegetable ivory or the Tagua nut.
Thanks,
Jon
Has anybody ever seen a chess set like this? I think it is plastic and not bone. However, it looks awesome. Any info. would be great. Maybe even appraisal value?
Thanks,
