Wood or plastic at the Chess Club?

Do you keep one chess set for use at the chess club and another for home?  If so, which set(s)?

As someone newly returning to chess after not playing competitively since I left school back in 1979 (Embarassed), I have kitted myself out with a cheap triple weighted plastic set (which can take some knocking about) for the club, and (for my own sinful pleasure) an expensive  Jaques of London Tournament Design set for use at home or on special occasions.

With the plastic chessmen I got a special carrying bag with compartments for the two colours of chessmen, my main chess clock (DGT XL) and a roll-up mousemat type chess 'board'.  Each compartment is separated and zipped externally for quick access.  Ingenious (but no doubt old hat to a lot of you out there Laughing).

I've just got one plastic set with a roll up mat and carrying case that I use for everything. I kind of want a smaller board to leave set up at home next to my computer, as an analysis board for correspondence games on the internet, but I don't have or want anything fancy.

I use the light weighted plastic tube set for club and anywhere else at home I use a newer triple weighted tube set I got not long ago for home use and analysis.

Anywhere outside of my home I use light plastic tube set I got from the Chess Federation of Canada at home but I use my newer tube set with triple weighted pieces.

I use a Drueke triple weighted tournament set, wtih a mouse mat board for everything. Ihave been looking at good wooden sets and will one day get one, when I find the exact style I desire.

I have a nice wooden set I use for play at home:

I also have a basic $25 weighted plastic Staunton set with roll-up board when I leave the house to play.

I just bought one of those roll-up chess sets with the 2½" squares and a largish set of plastic weighted pieces. I've yet to use them as I don't plan to join a chess club until spring 2008 at the earliest. At home, I'm still rocking a glass set... no wood for me until my level of play justifies it.

That's what I'm talking about! Nice set. I bet it costs a pretty penny!
