Chess Mentor is the best chess training tool in the world. Try it for 30 days. If you aren't happy, you can ask for a refund.

Dusty, Chess Mentor is without doubt a great tool, i understand you are concerned whether or not you should pay for a diamond membership, but honestly, iv used chess mentor and found it invaluable. And as Erik mentioned you can ask for a refund if you are not happy.

Not only is it a tool that teaches you, but it adapts tp your style of play and adapts to you as a person. its not just read some general lines from a book, its a personalised trainer, the closest you can get to a coach online :D

Not sure I would go so far as to say that it's the "best chess training tool in the world," but I did like it and I felt it was beneficial for me. Remember, though, you will only get out of something what you're willing to put in - meaning that you have to devote some time and effort to improving. Nothing, including Chess Mentor, is a magic wand for improving your chess.

I have not used the Chess Mentor modules here on Chess.com, but I bought Chess Mentor around the time it first came out - back in the 1990s. It came to me in the mail on 3.5" floppy disks! Lol

the chess mentor advertizment say's it well:

you can have lessons with a GM for one hundred dollars per hour

                                  OR
