I dont think its fair when it says alternate correct move but try again for another move.If you get the other move wrong your rating decreases as if you got the move wrong though you were correct first time.
I don't mind this except in the case of openings lessons where there are a great many possible good continuations, and there is no compelling reason to follow the main line. However, in most cases, if you can find a good alternative move, you should also be able to learn the approach which chess mentor is focusing on. Don't worry about ratings points, of course, but take the process as a very valuable instructional tool.
