As a heads-up to the Chess Mentor people:

There seems to be a large number of duplicated lessons in the area of endgames.

For example: There is a lesson entitled "Basic Opposition". This appears to have been repeated 22 times. Here are the lesson numbers.

    EOT037
    EOT040
    EOT044
    EOT048
    EOT053
    EOT055
    EOT063
    EOT067
    EOT072
    EOT078
    EOT084
    EOT108
    EOT126
    EOT132
    EOT135
    EOT143
    EOT152
    EOT157
    EOT169
    EOT177
    EOT187
    EOT193

I'm working through the lessons sequentially. I had to do the exercise 22 times in order to get to the other lessons.

I think I've mastered basic opposition now.

Patzer24 > If the problem was different each time , or if it was more complicated, I'd agree. But it only consists of a white king on d3, a black king on d6, and the solution is to move the white king to d4.

There ARE other opposition problems in the program as well, but this particular problem is duplicated in what appears to be an unnecessary way.

Right, we are looking into the issue of the duplicate basic opposition lessons. Likely this was a mistake with the Chess Mentor program. Thank you for reporting this!

The problem is still there 3 years later.  Can't you just delete the duplicates?  There are a zillion of them in Silman and Arne's course: Endings, Openings, a Taste of the Middle.  I'm enjoying the course and don't want to miss any lessons, but there are so many duplicates it's overwhelming.
