    I am the school champ (along with someone) but i am not yet that good. I beat the person i was training under who lives downstairs. I live in Kolkata in India. Can Anyone suggest some good chess book or someone to train under.

    chesstempo.com it's free, and play live chess lot's of it, you don't need any books to reach a decent level (and I can't reccomend anything else than Chess Fundamentals since that is the only thing i've read+opening databases)

    They are free and really great for improving. Especially recommended is reading his articles on thought process, is it safe?, and counting.
