This one is a gambit, just like my other opening, and it goes like this.

If accepted, white can develop and gain tempo attacking the knight(and maybe fiancheto the kingside bishop also). I call this one the "knight shift gambit".

looks like a less risky halloween gambit. I would not want to be black in that position.

I would. 3...d6 or 3...d5 stops a dangerous pawn center and protects the knight.

I do not like this gambit.  Your king will have difficulties finding safety on the kingside.  I do believe d5 counters the gambit and puts White at an immediate crisis.

It is also quite similar to the Latvian Attack in the Semi-Slav.  Maybe you could call it the baby Latvian!

D5 is one of the booklines(the other being Nf6) but even then, h2 or f2 continues to chase it back and after Nf6 e5 avoids pawn capture and still chases the pawn.

Keep trying mate, but I think it will be hard to come up with a brand new opening :-). If you are interested in this kind of stuff, make sure you check out Eric Schillers book on Unorthodox Chess Openings!

I think this is new-- 1.h4 e5 2.Nf3 e4

A reversed Alekhine Defense! (with a wasted tempo)
