What do you think is the best opening? I personally like the four knights

For white or for black?  For black, I like the Two Knights Defense.

The ruy is probably the best. It gives white a slight advantage even with perfect play from black. White can still play for the win too.

Don't think it is really this important as I'm blundering anyway. At the lvl of most average player openings don't matter for this cause  Sealed  .

English , CK, Leningrader here.

I like them all.

To me openings are a way of keeping chess interesting.

If I played the same opening every game I would get bored.

All the Chess Gods played many different openings and I do the same.

The only difference between me and them is they were great chess players.

And isn't getting good the easy part?

Based on opening theory, I've taken that the Ruy Lopez is the best opening, at least from white's perspective against 1. ... e5.

There really isn't a best opening, since openings depend on both parties.
