dear forum staff and members
I am TRYING TO IMPROVE MY CHESS GAME SINCE MY STROKE AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET SOME VIEWS ON THE BEST OPENING FOR WHITE THAT I MAY BETTER STUDY FOR FAST DEVELOPMENT AND TACTICAL ADVANTAGES.
I'M TRYING TO LEARN OFF YOUR COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE AS I DO NOT PROFESS TO BE A GREAT CHESS PLAYER.
AS WHITE , I HAVE BEEN USING THE SCOTCH OPENING , BLACKBURNE ATTACK
FOR SOME TIME NOW, I LIKE AND HAVE EXPERIMENTED WITH THE RUY LOPEZ, CLOSED(C92) VARIATION, THE GIUICO PIANO AND CLOSED SICILIAN AGAINST C4
SICILIAN. I HAVE ALSO TRYED THWE RETI, ZUKORTORT , LOLLI AND FRIED LIVER ATTACK.
OUT OF ALL OF THESE, I' M UNDERCIDED WHICH IS THE BEST TO CONCENTRATE ON .
I HAVE CHESSMASTER 10 AND FRITZ#11 AND DO TRY TO PUT IT ON THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND PLAY IT AGAINST THE OPENING I WANT TO PLAY USING ITS INFINITIVE ANALYSI GAME FUNCTION.
IN CLOSING, PLEASE FIND SOME TIME AND GIVE ME YOUR EXPERIENCED OPINIONS AND SUGGESTIONS.
THANKs antne from new jersey shore
Hi Tony! Good to see you again.
I think you are taking all the right decisions at this point. I had asked a similar question earlier and Bill Wall gave probably the best answer so far. I'll see if I can find the specific link to that discussion and re-post it here. But basically, when teaching new players, Bill will try to get his player to master just one or two openings then slowly introduce newer ones.
Might I suggest narrowing your choice of opennings to just two for white and two for black (one for e4 and one for d4) and get to a point where you feel you can confidently open with these.
I hope that helps!
THANKS, Inew that I could count on you greersome, but also i was looking for the name of the openings out of the ones i gave might work best,,
thanks antne from jersey shore
