The game is really just a great example of a player (black pieces in this case) who is playing "not to lose" rather than to win.
I thought black played really well and white was dominated from the first move. Although I can give you props for the mate, the fact of the matter is there was a quite simple mate for black early in the game which would have been much more delightful for the viewer.
