I'd like to know what other slav players play against the exchange slav. I still can't make up my mind what to play against it. So, what do you play as black in the exchange slav?

Same here, just gotta hate the Exchange Slav....Just copying moves atm though b/c I haven't spent much time with it.

BTW, I'm  having trouble against 3. Nc3 lines (often White intends 4.e3). What do you play here if you wana avoid the Semi-Slav or Chebaneko?

Is it 3...dxc3? The only thing is it seems Black gets a crazy weak pawn at c6 in this line...

As black I prefer the plan with an early Ne4 as chosen by Kramnik in a game with Portisch way back in '93.

Just develop and try not to do anything dumb.  It's not really a serious try for advantage; White is saying he can outplay you in a simple position.  Your job is not to let him!

If you want to shake things up, try 3 ...e5.

Intresting. What do you guys think about the Nh5 lines? Anyone tried it?

Also what do you guys play against 5. Bf4?
