I play the Caro Kann opening as black against e4 but I'm struggeling against 1e4 c6 2 Nf3. I play 2... d5 3 Nc3 dxe4 4 Nxe4 and Nd7. I know that Bg5 is more usual but I think this opening should work. Anyway have played two games against 2 Nf3 and been into some trubble so thought that I could practice it some here at chess.com.

So everybody who play 2 Nf3 against caro kann please challenge me.

After your 4...Nd7, 5 Bc4 is most aggressive for White, Black should play ...Ndf6 to trade the centralized Knight.  5 d4 transposes back into the main lines.

The Two Knights Variation is perfectly playable for White, even if it's theoretical reputation is of something of a gimmick.

When white does not play d4, taking on e4 is not in black's best interest. 3. ... Bg4 and 3. ... e6 have a much better theoretical reputation.
