What is an Opening?
ChessTrainor's own definition.
An opening is a set of move orders from the beginning of the chessgame 20 moves and under, with a clear defined body of idea having an advantage in mind or an outright win by two general approach, whether by being aggressive as an "Attacker"or being defensive as a solid"Positional Player".It may take the form of an open,semi-closed or closed game.
The mainline of an opening is a recognizable pattern as a line, and when the moves diverge or take on a different route or path other than of the original intent and causes change in the move pattern, then it is called a,"variation".
A good choice move in chess is based upon sound assessment of the whole scenario. The actual pieces on the chessboard. There must always an idea,a guiding principle of play,so that a move maybe considered a good choice."There must be a reason behind every move".

[D08] Albin's Counter Gambit
This is a rather impressive blitz game of mine. 2 12 time controls on the FICS server, with only a 1300 Blitz rating - and I was still able to pull off some amazing tactics against an opponent 200 points higher than me!
