    Is there a line in the Cochrane Gambit (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. Nxe5 d6 4. Nxf7) where black can return material for equality?

    Thanks for the imput Xylograph. The Cochrane is certainly an annoyance for me as a Petroff player. I must admit I usually lose badly to it, but I have never taken the time to study it since I only see it a small percentage of the time.
