    d4 is so much better than e4.  Catalan, Fianchetto King's Indian, Fianchetto Grunfeld, Anti-Benoni, Maroczy Bind setups against attempts at the Sniper (1.d4 g6 2.c4 Bg7 3.Nf3 c5 4.e4! cxd4 5.Nxd4).

    Basically, you have 2 results instead of 3.  Win, and Draw.  Take "Loss" out of the equation.

    All beginners learn E4 first because it's the most easy combination and defense. The others require more planning. (:

    I recommend this line:

    It definitely will surprise your opponent and take them out of book. White aims to develop quickly and take control of the central squares.
