The Queen's Pawn opening move is somewhat slower than the popular e4, because White will not be able to castle for three more moves. Its advantage is that it gives White more control over tactical surprises and often provides more lasting initiative and pressure. I think that Wink in my opinion it is the most powerful opening folow this steps and see what I meant ( pd4,qd3,be3,kc3 ) u can control the center and you can castle more faster..with high deffensive queen,knight, and bishop

Yes, i see what you mean, but the king pawn isnt protected. He can easily be attacked by Nf6. Although, then he can push the pawn to e5 to attack the Knight (see diagram) 2

Whoa, the thing messed up. see diagram 1 for the Nf6 Attack and diagram 2 for the pawn e5 Attack

Although, i am always going to play d4 because i think it's a good move :) The e4 pawn is not protected :P so im going to continue playing d4 , as i dont care how quick it is, Black cant play e5 and White can castle sooner then him. Kick back, get some ice tea or hot cocoa, and check out these games!
