Anyone else out there partial to sharp opening lines like Danish Gambit or King's Gambit?  They're not very fashionable these days, with so much bookish play, esp in tourneys, but heaps of fun in friendlies - two-edged swords that produce more blood and gore than boring old thrillers on telly!

I often play the King's gambit.

I like the Danish, but I haven't had as much success as I'd like to play it consistently.  Would you like to play a game and discuss it?

The Danish is great, especially for learning tactics. But I wouldn't dream of playing it in a serious game.

King's Gambit is sound though, and I have used it (well the Bishop's Gambit)

I gave up on 1. e4 because nobody every responded with e5. Now I play the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit as white, which is another classical, attacking gambit in the style of the ones you're talking about, but it starts with 1. d4, so I'm much more likely to get the gambit I want when I play.

In this game against a higher rated player, I've got myself to the point where I'm effectively saying that my positional advantage justifies the loss of 3 pawns...  any side bets?
