Yes, Moscow variation
its called the moscow but really I think it should be called the accelerated rossolimo
because the moscow should be a variation in the russian game, for clean organization purposes.
Isn't just the Rossolimo?
It can be after a move like 3.... Nc6 , yes. The main line of the Moscow attack runs 3....Bd7 4 Bxd7 Qxd7 though.
the rossolimo is like:
oops but not white to move, didnt know the diagram woudl do that...
anyway the rossolimo should be called the sicilian lopez and the moscow should be called the accelerated-sicilian-ruy-lopez-establishmentarianism.
I've been responding with 3...Nd7 but maybe I'll try Bd7 instead... It's an odd little thing.
the line has some bite. If you are seeing it a lot you might want to look at how to avoid getting a lost position, because there are various deceptive tricks in there.
I know this by "Canal Attack"...
I know it as Boredom Attack.
lol @ Atos Herceg
def diff then our game #4 (fearless
I knew it by the Moscow Variation, when I used to essay it out of fear of the Open Sicilian. Now that I have conquered my fear, I know it as both the Moscow Variation and Canal-Sokolsky Attack.
