@ jetfighter, I beg to differ. In fact, both of these two days we've been playing, I've been doing homework while playing.

    My Analysis:

    23. Bd2 was a mistake on my part. Bc3 was much better

I still think 30. Be1?! would be more appropiate annotation. I just don't see what's so great about that move! Sure, it gets your king farther, but It can be easily blocked and driven back

In the alternate line, after 33... Kd4, 34. Rb1! solves my problems and leave me with an edge. At least, as far as I calculate!

34... Rc4?? I can see that that hopes for Rxc4#??, but you missed the obvious Bxc4, which is what I played.

    That's my 2 cents!

I don't think the game is totally lost after Rc4. After 35... Qf5 blocking the white king's advance, the black king can work to unbottle himself with Nc5 via d7.

The Reason Be1 is so great is that if you accept my sacs, at the end of the most feasable variation, I get two squares to walk through and there is no way to defend them both with one move, and then I preform a simple Rook lift, your King is not close enough to my back rank totry to win first

    30. Be1?? is a bad move that gives the bishop for absolutely nothing.  Forget it.

yes but his Rook is also hanging if he takes the Bishop

Yes, I saw that and thats why I played 31. Rxh8. and again, in the alternate line, 34. Rb1! And then what do you have??

Take your Hanging rook on h1 xraying your rook

By then I would'nt have had a rook on h1 as my only rook would be on b1. The psotion that would result is the one in move 34 of your 34. Rb1 alternate line. Whatever, I see how you could have won, but regardless, you blew it!

And, in your origanl post of the game, the line where you sacrficed the exchange with 22... axb4, 35. Kg3 is an inaccurate analyis, as I would have most certainlyplay 35. Ke1 to keep my rook

    jetfighter13

good point totally missed that, I thought I saw a bishop blocking e1, oops

No way. 34. Rb1 and white wins. Forget Be1

Did you actually check my analysis, what did I miss that makes 34. Rb1 winning

LOL! It just doesnt mean anything. Imagine that you play Qh4+ or start sacrificing senseless material to don't allow my king move until move 8, you can't just win because of that. According to jetfighter it is only enough to receive an warning. Meanwhile, by playing f3 I have clear intention to bring my king to f2 which is my next move. That have already happened on some games and no one lost because of that. Maybe 8 "unforced" moves is a better rule, since recaptures of pieces or checks are considered forced moves.

True, as I have broken that rule in my game as black, but I ended up winning by a mile! My 8th move was an in-between check: http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=49065795
