Sure, but the king's indian attack and closed sicilian are the same thing.

Call it what you like, white has wasted a tempo with Qe2.

Sure, but if you can understand AND memorize...isn't that ideal?

Black didn't play in closed sicilian style. He could have done a kingside fianchetto and ...e6 and ...Nge7 when e5 would be hard.
