From's Gambit games

So I was recently advised to try taking up From's Gambit against the Bird, and it seems to be pretty crazy! Everyone is welcome to post their cool games with From's Gambit with annotations, so we can see the ideas that come up in this opening.

Here's a weird one - not even sure I was winning until White made some strange moves. It was crazy though!

A kinda cool way for White to go wrong...

Hi waller! At move 12 you could have won easily. Instead of Bxf2 you could have played Nb4 Qd1, Nxc2+ Qxc2, Qxe3+ Qe2, Bxf2+ Kd1, Qxe2 and you are the exchange and some pawns up.

But to be honest, the From Gambit is a really bad opening, isnt it?

Nice one rooperi, I didn't know about that line!

Till_98, you're totally right, I was too focussed on my idea of drawing the king out to notice the better line!

I don't know about the From's being a bad opening. It was recommended to me by a master level player and he tends to play completely sound, positional openings (the Symmetrical English is one of his favourites). It's weird - some people seem to think it's the most testing reply to 1.f4, an some think its borderline unsound! I don't know what the consensus is really.

Thanks for the link TitanCG, checking it out!
