Ola!. Ive encountred this line of the alekhines defense  for the first time in a tourney and got lost in the skirmish it looked simple but i couldnt find the proper moves agaisnt it (as white). I guess i need help on this...really bad.

1. e4 Nf6

2. Nc3 d5

3.ed5 Nd5

4.Nd5 Qd5

5.c4 Qd6

6.d4 e5!

all i can remember is that the black bishops became so dominant in the game i think there was even a knight on c6 and e7 and the f5 push.

Im open to ideas.

PS.

ive never played the e5 d5 c4 pushes for fear of over extending myself im not just comfortable with that line. ty

5...Qa5 looks hard to work around.

ive met that ..Qa5 line but not the Qd6 e5 line by black. Any one here care to share how to play agisnt the  black side? ty

7.d5 looks like the only move since 7.Be3 Qb4+ isn't so great. I think 5...Qa5 is reason enough to drop this though.

thanks near heart. But what happens after Ng8?

Thanks again near heart, I guess im not just used to this kind of melee. ITs kinda difficult seeing this moves OTB but ill try your recomendation. Thanks. And TitanCG thanks also for your contribution. Your ...Qa5 is indeed playable but im more comfortable playing against it than 5...Qd6.

Has anyone had some games with this line in their tourneys? I just wanna get the "feel" of this line.ty

Ok but it's hard to understand why. Black may be simply better after 5...Qa5 with that hole on d4 and White's cramped development while after 5...Qd6 White can at least develop normally. 5.c4 just looks unsound.

Other than NearHeart's suggestion you could try 1.e4 Nf6 2.Nc3 d5 3.ed Nxd5 4.Bc4 or 4.Nxd5 Qxd5 5.Qf3 with simple development for White in either case
