Im taking my opening study more serious so i am trying to find good master games on chess databases who paly the caro kann to study. I can honestly only think of karpov and capablanca. I am looking fo rmaster games who play caro kann very often, are highly positional, and are just good at the caro kann.

Grischuk is probably the highest-rated guy who trots it out with real regularity, although Anand will occasionally give the CK a punt.
After that, it's mostly guys (and gals) a notch below, but there are plenty of them to choose from.
But if you never study anyone but Karpov, you'll be just fine. A lifetime of awesome annotated material to be found, there.

I think also the georgian superGM Jobava plays the caro a lot. As johnny said he's a notch below the very top players, but still solidly 2700+, currenly #21 in the world (he even got Carlsen's scalp at the last onympiad). Definitely worth keeping an eye on i would say ;)

Yaacov Norowitz isn't titled but he's 2560s USCF and he plays the Caro exclusively. He goes by YaacovN on most sites and does give lessons.

As you can see from his ICC ratings, he's no slouch. :P

Lenderman, Grischuk, etc. Oh, people already said them.

IMO if your looking for good player models find a GM that plays in Opens. learning from Karpov is great but he basically only plays other GMs and you wont get to see how typical mistakes are punished. Expert vs GM is great learning....
yaacov is a blitz specialist. He knows his systems cold so can play them amazingly fast, but plays them in a way that results in getting mauled OTB against strong GM /IM opposition that have time to just squeeze. I think he is FM and close to IM. 2500+ USCF

i was watching that guy drop gms on icc a little while ago, hes insane.
suprised he isnt titled
He's orthodox jewish and doesn't play on the sabbath. You can't norm if you take a BYE, and big tournaments always span the weekend.

Kasparov played it once or twice.
