Can I have some insights on this gambit please? The gambit goes 1.d4 Nf6 2.g4 Nxg4 and also d5 the declined line, instead of Nxg4

NOTE: The winning percentages are for White, 40% is terrible for White and 49% is merely below average for White. BUT, this opening might be OK for OTB, maybe - possibly - perhaps. Then again, you didn't say you wanted to play it as White, maybe you just wanna know how to play against it. As for any insights into it you're going to have start playing over every game you can find with it, since it's probably not even a footnote in most opening manuals. Good luck!

I've played this OTB in a club championship a few years ago. My opponent was former South African chamion Albert Ponelis. He was so taken aback he declined the gambit, and I ended up messing up a winning position in the end :)
