Since you like the Caro-Kann, maybe you should try the underrated Saragossa opening: 1. c3. It is a deceptive and flexible beginning. I have beaten a master with it in a game for money and drawn a master with it in an over-the-board tournament.

Well I've seen other people use it. Plus it's boring opening.
