What is a more aggressive respons for Black in the Italian Game? 1. e4 - e5, 2. Nf3 - Nc6, 3. Bc4

Two knights defense is the more agressive by far. In fact Giouco Piano means "quiet game" in Italian.

Why it is called the Two Knights Defence?

Because most openings for black are called defenses, but here's how Modern Chess Openings describes The Two Knights Defense.

"Probably it would be correct to call this opening the Two Knights' Attack rather than to label it a defense."
