After I get d4 in, I could make a strong eventual kingside attack. If black plays h6 then I will be able to eventually open the g file. If black doesn't play h6, Bg5 is a great place for the bishop.I realize now that it looks alot like the ruy lopez, but one advantage of using these moves is that after Bc4 Bc5, these are blacks only moves that are really logical, therefore avoiding some of the theory of the ruy lopez. What do you think I should do after 7.. Be6 though?

rd1, although normally he would play h6 right away on move 7.  that idea's has been used before, but in the ruy lopez, i think.

You didnt need to play Qe2.

0-0 is better as the epawn is immune.

santiR is correct -- the idea of Qe2 and Rd1 is already used in the Worrall Attack of the Ruy Lopez.

Is there an advantage of having a queen on e2?

I think it's mainly about being able to play Rd1 and opening the d-file on black's queen.
