Exactly. The knight on a3 doesnt affect the game and white can only hope for equality. Why not p;ay e4, d4, c4, Nf3, g3, b3 or any SANE opening.

In my sending this opening to the Akansas List of Chess opening.The Na3 when captured by the Bishop of White acts as a bait!For the uninformed.A positive comment says Many winning of the A00 Tapel-Tomas Opening is due to Bishops capturing The Knight bait in the opening moves,quoting him,Exchanging a good bishop for a bad Knight.i hope u understand this simple explanation.Another thing for the uninformed.When the b file becomes open,my recorded games shows a loss for black when castling Queenside,because of the open file advantage,if that is so.My likely target will be castling Kingside so my moves and attack is geared to that side.No more second guessing.That is another advantage.ChessTrainor.
Yes! You admit your knight was bad! Now what is good about an opening move that does nothing but create a "bad knight"? Anyways, taking looks totally fine and I still think black is slightly better even if white has compensation. it is probably better though to play a central move staying flexible about when to take it and if white wastes a move just so that I can't, fine. Make two useless moves.
Oh and one more point, its kinda funny that the knight on a3 didnt play a part in the middle game and only made its entrance in the endgame.. furthermore, if ur gonna waste the very first move not controlling the centre and deploying your knight to another edge of the board even if it already is on the FIRST RANK (another edge of the board), its stupid. 1. c4 controlling the centre followed by 2. Na3 MIGHT WORK but 1. Na3 sucks. Why? Dude, pls read every single comment that everyone made. except yours.
PLaying with a couple of patzers doesnt make it good, it just proves that they are worse than u. Ask any GM why they dont use 1. Na3, its cuz its illogical. Again, take note, ur opponents were patzers, thus they most likely lost. next, na3 never played any significant role in the whole game except for 1 game with a move to c2. But then again, why go to C2 near the end of the game, why not leave it on b1?

What is this opening called?
This entire thread is silly. 1 Na3 doesnt lose for white but probably, no first move does. Its just that there are several first moves for white that are better. In my database of a few million games 1 Na3 was only played 17 times and of those 17 none were IMs or GMs and the highest rated white player was under 2400.

And he will never give good analysis of the first 5 or so moves showing white's chances because there isn't one. I'm sure he loses just as much as he wins, probably more losses.

Just tell me why it is good and how white gets an advantage! You're the one who needs to prove that Na3 is good. If you can't do that, why should anyone believe it is good? The fact that it's possible to win games with it still doesn't make it good because you usually don't get a good middlegame position with it, unless you show me otherwise even with correct play as in opening theory. And I think I'm better than you too but it doesn't matter how good I am; you still have to come up with some analysis because the way I see it a3 is probably not the square it wants to be on. Once in 10 games, maybe. My opinion makes sense because you can't demonstrate how white even equalizes with it. All you do is post games where you won which is not what I want, so why should I think this is good? Why? You avoid the question each time. GIVE ANALYSIS!

If you don't give analysis to your critics, they shouldn't have to believe this garbage. In fact I know you don't give analysis to your students you're just lying. You only use the games you win and of course igonore those that you lose. When I ask you "how can this opening win so much?" by posting all of your random wins you're basically saying "because it does". Of course you ignore your losses. Maybe you're the one who is too inexperienced to teach the ideas of this opening, which is basically to get an inferior version of an often passive system like the colle. And by analysis I mean like in opening theory demonstrating how white comes with an advantage.

That record doesn't tell me anything. It's out of 25 games by people who may not even be masters. That's not what I want. That's what I've been trying to say for the last 5 posts. And you obviously can't answer that so I hope you're happy playing with a disadvantage. Great strategy. I guess it doesn't lose, but it's just not a good choice and doesn't make any sense! There are many games Chess Trainor played that look kind of like the colle but with that knight on a3 and some other weird differences. The way he plays it, Na3 is very bad. But if you had to play Na3 and then played normal, I guess it would be ok but still unnecessary. I think the best way to play it is with c4 or Nc4 if possible because the knight has influence there. But his setups are just really weird and remind me of those systems like the colle.

I don't know how you get away with this, because this is not good play. I will ask you this: do you honestly think this (followed by your weird continuations) is good at master level?
