THE SAM OPENING
LINE #1 e4 c5 f4 d5 Bd3 xd5 Bxd5 Nf6 Bf3 (following up with d3 and Be3)
LINE #2 e4 c5 f4 e6 Bd3 Nf6 e5 Nd5 Qf3 (with idea of c3, Bc2 and d4)
SAM OPENING TRAP:
For any of the lines, let me know if I did my notation wrong, I sort of did this in a rush. Basiclly, Bc2 , c3, and e5 get a great center and an amazing bishop!

Isn't Black fine after 5.e6 Nf6?
Other than that, most of the previous few moves make no sense.
xf7+ and then black can't castle.
This opening is pretty bad, but it fits my style and I love playing it in blitz.
I put it into Rybka and black was allready up like half a pawn!
Still fun to play though ;)
Oh, I see... hardly a disaster, though.
Black's king is very safe, and white's position is quite counterproductive.
c3, Bc2, then d4.
As I said before, it's not very good, but fun to play.

At least its original :)

Mainline_Novelty
The other trap Black could fall for is 3...c4 4.Bxc4 Nxe4 5.Bxf7+!

I typically get my "new novelties" from the Department of Rendundancy Department.
But yeah I'm not sure why Black would play 2...Nf6
Black has decent compensation for his pawn here... maybe not 100% adequate, but good enough for fast time controls- following 5...Kxf7+ 6.Qh5+ g6 7.Qd5+ e6 8.Qxe4 Bg7.
fair enough, but it's still better for White than if Black just plays something that doesn't lose a pawn.
MSC157
I must say that trap is interesting but Rybka isn't everything. Try benko gambit (or whatever is the name of it) and you'll see it's about +1 for white (but it's not!).

About line 2, isn't f4 just hanging?
DavidStyles
Indeed, as it's a redundant tautology repeated more than once unnecessarily, one time after another.
TheGrobe
I think that was covered in the initial post -- your post is just redunantly recapitulating the point you repeated again in your duplicate post.

I feel seriously bad about falling into the "Sam trap" :/ Then again gratz Sam on finding an interesting novelty!
Oh yeah I forgot....I got you to fall for it too!!!
Man...so many people fall for it. :)
