Apart from all the bad things with this opening...
Hardly anyone plays 2... f6
White wins around 90% of the games that start like this:
After 3.Nxe5, anyone who has enough experience to play this opening competently will play 3.... Qe7. Although it still leaves black with a weak king side and no development.
This is the most awe-inspiring opening i've ever seen. it's comparable to the crab opening or the hippopotamus attack.
why do i even bother. this is such a horrible opening it's depressing.
Of the 8 games with 3...Qe7 on the ChessOK.com database, White won 5, Black won 1, and 2 were draws. As MyDixieWrecked points out, Black has a weak kingside and no development. No serious chess player who is interested in having winning chances will play 2...f6 -- it has no redeeming features.
