Looking for a new defense to 1.e4? Well, the Nizmovtich Defense could be exactly what you're looking for. I summarize 26 years experience playing this defense to give the main ideas. I t has held up for me as a viable defense and it avoids all the popular lines White has prepared for. More videos will follow soon.

I love these videos!! I actually won my first game against an 1280 rating player using the Nimzovitch Defense. Here is my game if you want to take a look.
Thanks! I woudn't do the Alekhine's Defense justice in a video series, and I don't have time to learn it to make videos about it. I'm sure you can find something by GM Lev Alburt, he played it.
Here's the next video! Enjoy!

1st video is enough for the beginner!!
Iv'e checked out your videos and I'm very interested in Chess Openings. I already know the french, caro kann , sicilian d6, scandivanian, elephant gambit, and the Sicilian Brussels Gambit! I have found the Nimsowich Defence the most unique opening as black to respond to e4 which yields some of the most interesting ideas iv'e never seen so far... I am really into this opening and have been playing a lot on live chess. I play online chess as well so I would request you if you have the time, to check out this game im playing against a very srong titled player on chess.com. As you may have guessed im an ameture who would quickely like to reach my full potential, i have never wished to be anything but would like to unlock the full potential of my skill in my favorite game! Im only 14 years old who's going to enter high school in a month so maybe im still not too old to be succesful in Chess. http://www.chess.com/echess/game.html?id=56107180 this is the game im currently plaing so please check it out if u have the time please check this out!!

Which variation do you recommend against 2.Nf3 ?
2...d6 is safe and solid, so is 2...e6. There is a video here at chess.com by FM Galofare where he recommends 2....d5, I'm trying that in online games. It's pretty good, only thing he's wrong about is 2.Nf3 is not the most common reply, 2. d4 is. I mention 2...f5 but you really have to know it to play it, and I haven't gotten to videos of that yet, but I will!
Here are the latest, if you subscribed to my Twitter, FaceBook, or YouTube channel you would already have them!

For those that want a good plan against 2. Nf3, try the FRED! Wildest line and video you may ever see....More of these coming, how soon, depends on how eager you await them. Let me just say this, White will be in fits if you play this line and are prepared!
