im pretty sure you all have heard of the english opening or the english defense but my brother told me a while back on a opening called old english. He showed me what it looked like and i was wondering if he was wrong on the name or correct. Also if it has a different name etc, but heres what it looks like. (note to self, mostly you won't get this opening off because it takes to long to devolop)

I think that the idea may be a bit unrealistic, since you don't point to any of Black's plans.  We have no idea if those are good placements for the bishops, nor if a3 and h3 are ideal.  It may be the Old English, but I don't know what to say about it.

Now I have seen (and in my earlier 1. e4 years, have played) that bishop formation.  The idea (for me was) to give the kingside pawns support for assaulting the castled king.  So, f4 and g4 become more powerful, and you should get the idea.  At least it is solid development, not seeking any certain advantage, but in space.
