Clearly, the first piece that either Black or White should move is either a pawn or a Knight.  ;)

    Variable

Aside from any of the normal pawn moves, Nf6 is an interesting play for some lines and for some transpositional possibilities as well.

e4 was said to be "Best by test" ~ Bobby Fischer (one of the greatest chess players). here are several names of main openings from there:

    1.The Lolli Attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Best opening ever!)

    2.The Fischer-Sozin attack!!!!!!!!!!(against the sicilian)

    3.The four knights defense

    4.Petroff's opening

    5. Bishop's opening

6.The double penguin opening(do NOT play this if you want to win)

    7.Scandanavian(did I spell it right?)

OK. I think it is important to know the isolated queen's pawn system. Other than that, I play a scandinavian, ruy lopez exchange, and for anything modern, I just use common sense

    E4 is the "simplest" opening.

    D4 is a challenge!
