Yea there is a pawn on d5 !? But rather than e4 e5 then go Nf3 I prefer to go to Bc4 then Nf3 it's better that way.
Well i will have to try both ways and see.
I mean in your diagram about the Trompowsky Attack, There's no pawn on d5.
Actually there is a pawn on d5.
lol
you mean that the move ordrer is 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5 d5?
d4 d5 Bg5 Nf3.
ok thats a lot of different ways to go
You mean Nf6 but I can't understand why 2... Nf6 and not for example f6 with a tempo. Anyway, just for you to know the Trompowsky Attack is reached ONLY with the move order 1.d4 Nf6 2.Bg5
ok cool i will play someone unrated so i can learn that.
So your saying that Michael Jeffreys is wrong.
I just want to learn more than one opening the Colle System.
Never heard of the Colle system, I've only heard of the Polar bear system.
Really look back on the topic patzer talks about how it goes.
Just read through it, but it's not for me.
I know a lot of people do not like it and thats why i was asing about different openings.
I only tryed to use the Polar bear system once, I won but I took quite a lot of damage while using the technique.
How does that go?
I'd have too look in my book again, it's been that long since I used it. I'm going back like 2 months now. I know it begins with the Bird opening.
I have heard of that opening.
