Played a game a couple of weekends ago and came against an odd loking Pirc out of book knowledge I decided to try something new inspired by my study of the samisch kings indian and Prins sicilian.

Checked on my database and got no hits and was wondering if anybody had a larger one to check. thanks for any help here is the opening.

The kingside attack idea is how I ended up winning the game. Yeah I noticed the transposition into the philidors.

What is black's strategy behind 3...e5?  It appears that this move would result in a queen trade on the 5th move that puts black at a disadvantage.

After dxe5 and black recaptures with dxe5, doesnt black lose the ability to castle then?

Yes, he loses the ability to castle, but that's not such a big deal with the queens off.
