Hi there,
I (~1600-1700 German OTB rating) recently played a Scandinavian as White, did not know much about the theory and played d3 instead of the more popular d4. This looks much more passive, but if Black puts his Bishop on f5 my Knight has a very nice square, namely d4. Here is the game:
Were I just lucky or is d3 (with Nd4 in mind) an idea? I have to admit, no engine has analysed the position yet, maybe I failed to regocnise some huge blunder?
Edit: Oh, there are actual two games in the database with this tactic: http://www.chess.com/games/view?id=1094083 and http://www.chess.com/games/view?id=1116319 – White won both games.
