6.d3 kicking the knight out is the BOOK move.

yeah i usually do move to d3. but then knight moves back to f6, so then i take queen... idk cuz then black has an advantage of castling

Well, you could decide not to take the queen, giving black a chance to take your queen and thus you can castle.

you dont have to be the person who initiates the exchange of queens.

6d3 Nf6 7.Bg5 white hopes to make something of the tempo or two lead. Players like Spassky, and Lasker have used it, but it's not the most exciting line.
