Usually I'm a King's Pawn kind of player, but I've noticed a rising popularity in the Queen's Pawn openings (used almost exclusively by Irina Krush!)
Would anyone be willing to share some of their favorite Queen's side openings?
The best is the Queen's Gambit, of course. But lots of other lines are quite playable, and almost anything is playable in quick time control chess. Novices often like the Colle and London systems. Gamblers like the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit. I've even seen master's level players playing the Stonewall, long considered a weak opening system.
So, your options are numerous.
The king's indian from the white AND black side is loads of fun. I'm also a big fan of the exchange grunfeld and the benko gambit. Especially this line!
What about the Torre Attack?
Thanks everyone for your responses (so far)!
The bononi(i think that's how it's spelled?) 1.d4 c5
it is spelled "Benoni". The old benoni is 1. d4 c5, while the more modern variation is 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 c5
The unkown.... (so far i couldnt find a name for it.)
For white against 1... d4 I like Queen's Gambit.
Against 1... Nf6 I like Four Pawns Attack.
