Ruy Lopez - Exchange Variation

Hello everyone. I've recently been studying the Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation a little more and I'm curious if somebody wants to play it against me as black. I don't mind if it's rated or unrated but am looking for mainly 1700-2300+ rated opponents who enjoy playing this opening. If you are rated lower and would like to learn it, I'll do my best and try to help.  If someone has any comments regarding the Ruy Lopez Exchange Variation, if they've played it alot before and how they did, etc, I'll really appreciate it!

If you do want to play it, challenge me (I'll be white) and we'll transpose into the exchange variation. Thanks!! :)

were you wanting to play the black or white side?  I would play the white side.  BUt, not interested in playing the black side of it.

I play the 5. 0-0 exchange a lot as white, here's a variation that gives me some trouble.  It's somewhat uncommon but worth knowing because it's not dubious.  Ivanchuk and I think Short have played it as black.

Sorry I had some work and I am back now. I will accept your request LaskerFan! Thanks alot for wanting to have a game. :)

@OrangeHonda: I usually play 5. 0-0 as well, but have lately been studying Laskers idea of 5. d4.

If you're interested in playing Honda, please message me. :)

@Erik: I could play black if you want :) Send me a game request/message please ;)

I hope I'm not to late to join the party, but I'd like to practice my Lopez exchange skills as black.

I've send you an invite. If you prefer playing black, please decline the invite and resent one.

Jeremy841, if you want to play the exchange, you may encounter the Berlin (1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 Nf6). I would be happy to play as black this line, as it is what i normally play.

I'm happy to play a 3-day game as black - I'm no fan of the exchange so it would be good for me

If you're still interested, send me an invite

I sent you a few challenges to try this out as well. I've played a few games of both 5.0-0...f6   6. d4...Bg4   and 6.d4...exd4  but you can never have enough practise.

    There is hope for black!
