I was wondering if anyone wanted to play some Scotch Blumenfeld games? It is hard to get into in Live Chess so am hoping to play some 5 or 10 mins games there.. btw if you don't know the Blumenfeld Attack plays,

I just had a over-the-board tournament game against this line this past weekend so I might be interested in a couple of games, one White, one Black (though I'm interested in defending this as Black), at 2, 3 or even 5 days per move.  Let me know, particularly as to your preferred number of days per move.

EDIT: now I see you are looking for live games -- not really my preference, I want to learn this line deeply.  If you're interested in two multi-day games though let me know.

infact do you want unrated, rated or takeback games?

I've not sent challenges yet.  I'd be wanting to play rated games.  If this sounds ok to you, send me 2 challenges, one as White, one as Black, with the starting position as:

     http://www.chess.com/opening/eco/C45_Scotch_Game_Classical_Variation

We will then agree to continue 5. Be3 Qf6  6. Nb5 and go from there.  You can choose the number of days, 2, 3 or 5 per move.

Or let me know your preferred number of days and I will make the challenges.  You mention takebacks and I am against them, so maybe we should play 3 or 5 days per move?  The last game I won was a 1-day per move game, and I won merely because my opponent hung his queen -- I'm sure he was wishing he could take that back, and maybe he just has too many games, at too short a time

Set up your own thematic tnmt with this opening! As a Diamond member you have ALL of the options and features available to do so. If you've never done so before just click on Tnmts under your home icon and click on the Create Tnmt button. Send me a note if you have any ?s

@tarraschstalker it would take a while but soon the amount needed would join... go ahead and do it!

ya would certainly take a while as this isn't a well known opening

Would probably need to keep it to a small size.  I'm at about my limit for games right now anyway, especially with 3 coming up soon in the following Alekhine tournament -- I don't play the Alekhine but as an 1. e4 player I might face it, and I am of the firm belief that by playing the Black side in some games, I will better learn how to play against it.

lol i'll make won but not sure how many will join..

You can make a very small one or two rd tnmt with a dozen or less participants. I believe you could even set up the equivalent of a "Sunday Quad" such as the ones I used to play in back in NJ during the Paleolithic Era before PCs with 4 players who play each other once, although here I'd suggest making it a double rd robin

If you're patient even a 100 player tnmt will eventually get filled (I know this from personal experience) and there's an option to begin a tnmt before it reaches the max # of players allowed to join.

I play this line when I get the chance, and really enjoy it too. Couldn't join the tourney though, appearently I have timed out once too many times. If you still want a game or two, I'd be happy to play.
