Is there a way for black to 'refute' white's early attempts at a Maroczy bind?
Eg. 1.e4 c5 2.c4 or 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.c4, in both cases following up with d4 and Nxd4
ghostofmaroczy
I think the answer in both cases is to adopt a Botvinnik Claw position.
1 e4 c5 2 c4 Nc6 3 Nf3 e5
1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 d6 3 c4 e5
