here's a good opening to use on people especially new people, the sodium attack!

it's also unusual so it can confuse your opponentsSmile

And the twist is, you develop your knight to a poor square. Cool

There was an opening called Sodium,

Folks tried putting it on the podium.

But on closer inspection, it must face rejection;

It's about as good as plasmodium...

---

Nytik's Dictionary Corner:

Plasmodium: Parasitic protozoan of the genus Plasmodium which causes malaria in humans.

OK, that is truly the most irritating chess set in history (even worse than 3D).

why do you want your knight on a3 instead of c3? if you cant answer that you shouldnt use the opening at all. your opponent will probably exploit your lack of space and grab space in center with moves like d5 or e5:)

The only thing confusing was the choice of chess pieces...that opening is a waste.  White throws away his opening initiative with a poorly placed knight.

Thanks very much! I'd forgotten I'd ever posted in this thread... (note the August date). I wouldn't use Imodium, unless they pay me of course! No free product placement here! Wink
