This was a spur-of-the-moment defense from a blitz game. Unfortunately, I did not write the game down (it ended in a draw). I do remember the move order of the opening, though.
My question was not, "What 'orthodox' variation should I play in queen pawn games?" I guess it would be possible to transpose to the variation of the Tarrasch where white plays g3, but I really do not want to play those types of positions.
I prefer the Queen's Indian or other hypermodern responses. I was more wondering as to whether b5 and Na6 are playable, as they have similarities to variations of the QID (queenside fianchetto, knight on the rim to reclaim a pawn on c5).
they are but i would not use them. and i new that
Sweet! Kasparov did play this.
