This is called the Philidor Defence, though it is not in the true spirit of the Philidor. Philidor's idea with 2...d6 was to not impede the f-pawn with the g8 knight and prepare a quick ...f5. So if someone plays ...Nf6 first, and then ...d6 it is just circumstance that this is referred to as Philidor's defense.
