If I remember correctly, the opening was known as the Drunken King Opening or the Tumbleweed.  Whatever the correct name is, in any case it is a poor opening.

This is a very strong opening in the Bongcloud chess variant in which the objective is to be the first to get your king to your opponent's back-rank:

It's just a bit of fun.  Of course, it's an extremely bad opening, and you're likely to get mated pretty quickly.  But it's good fun.

I don't think it's that bad.  I can draw easily in that opening against somebody 1500 USCF or lower.  At the upper levels, they might actually beat you.

interesting why do you have to get your king out of its saftey zone? Its already safe!

A man can't stay cooped up like that all day, especially a regal one like the King.  He'll get cabin fever.  There's nothing wrong with a little stroll now and then and when better than when the entire army is in position to mobilize?
